AMD CCC - Tessellation

I use Radeon R7 250 > AMD Radeon? R7 Series Graphics <

In the CCC,Tessellation category,i have Tessellation Mode and Maximum Tessellation Level.

Tessellation Mode "AMD optimized" and "Use application settings" control Maximum Tessellation Level automatically.
I wonder how "AMD optimized" works,and difference in performance/quality with "Use application settings".
