Solved After recovery Windows 8.1 is no longer activated

Hello Everybody,

I had to run recovery on my Razer Blade 14 (2013) today, and after it finished my windows 8.1 is no longer activated. It gives the "key does not work" error message at the activation screen.

Hi razorhack , welcome to EF,

Please mask your keys from Showkey's report.

The System Builder licence in use has been blocked. Did you install it originally? There should be sticker of authenticity on your laptop if the system builder supplied it correctly.
There was a retail key installed previoulsy which you could try. If both fails online activation, you will need to phone MS.

I did not install it originally. This is a store bought computer. This happened after I had to recover. The sticker is too worn down to read.

I have called MS, and they are issuing a replacement key.
