Solved adobe player - windows 8.1 - doesn't start/slow

Adobe Player 15 ( fresh install )

Was loading a machine for a new client and adobe player 15 is making all youtube videos load extremely slow as if they were in slow motion and/or it won't even start. Here is what i have done/troubleshooted

-Reinstalled chrome, firefox
-Reinstalled adobe player 15
-Cleared all caches/history/cookies/etc
-This is a clean install there aren't any viruses etc
-100mb plus internet connection so it isn't the internet, all other pages load fine
-I can play other players just fine, it seems to just be with youtube?
-I confirmed it isn't the youtube account as I can go to my ipad with the same account ( or not even be logged in ) and it works fine
-There is plenty of hard drive space ( again new install )
-There is no hardware acceleration enabled ( and I was testing on html5 anyway )

So I am pretty confused at the moment what could cause this...doesn't make sense that other adobe players work fine but youtube doesn't. Is this a known adobe bug or something and I just don't know it? I'd rather get adobe player 15 installed if at all possible instead of downgrading.

cleaned registry ( apparently some sort of file from when i tried to uninstall etc had remained in the registry so I had to clean that and I was able to do a fresh install and works like a charm )
