So I dont know what the heck happened, but on my desktop computer I have been locked out of everything..

My only account it (Home)
it WAS administrator

but now its guest, I cant make any changes or do anything that requires administrator privileges unless I get a
UAC box where it says Yes/No at the bottom but yes is grayed out unless I

"enter the administrators password"

which to my knowledge I have never set one....

1. I have tried the back door of changing rights to this account = failed

2. opened cmd prompt to enable the hidden administrator = failed

3. Tried burning programs such as " Offline NT" and " OPHCrack" to CD and bootloaders from usb = failed

"Offline NT" starts to work, starts loading drivers then all of a sudden I get a psycho screen that looks like the matrix and at the bottom of it all says
"Kernel Panic - attempting to kill ini" and looks similar to this
(THIS IS NOT THE SCREEN, JUST SIMILAR LOOKING HIEROGLYPHICS)

"OPHCrack" works until its supposed to load windows then freezes on black screen

so without completely reformatting because i never set a backup im hooped.... any ideas

thanks;

Hello 403Phaze, :)

You might see if you may be able to enable the built-in Administrator account using OPTION TWO in the tutorial below.

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorial...rator-account-enable-disable-windows-8-a.html

If successful, sign in to that account to then change your account back to an administrator type.

Thanks brink, the Desktop is windows 7 I tried loading in safe from cmd but error occurs where it says "error 5"

i have decided to reformat and start new, nothing I tried worked, and everytime I attempted a back way it didnt work, but i appreciate your reply!

thanks;

I never thought about reinstalling being fun. I make Disk Images so that I don't have too ;)

I always pretend to remember to do that... but ALWAYS forget because by the time an issue occurs it hits me that I forgot that step :D
