Hi, I have an Acer Aspire laptop which has recently stopped booting up. It doesn't display anything when powered on. I know it is not a problem with windows because it doesn't even display the Bios boot screen. Why is this? The fans start but I cant hear the hard drive. Please help

Thanks

If it doesn't display the BIOS screen, then there's something seriously wrong here.
What does it do when it boots? Does it beep? If so what are the beeps (long/short, number of beeps)?
Can you hear the hard drive running? If you put a CD/DVD in the tray, can you hear it trying to access it? Do any of the lights flash? If so, which ones?

Have you tried it without the battery?
Have you tried it after removing the battery and ac adapter - then hold the power button down for 30 seconds, then put the power in and try to start it?
Have you tried booting it with an external monitor attached?

I have Tried all of these and there are no beeps.
I cant hear the hard drive spinning and here are no beeps or flashes.
If i put a cd in the tray i can hear it spinning.

I think its the Graphics card that has failed

If an external monitor doesn't work - then it's most likely gonna be that you have to send it out for repair.
Good luck!
