Acer Aspire won't boot to CD or USB drive

Hey gang,
I have an acer aspire axc-603g that is stuck in a loop boot after running windows updates. I can't get it to boot to a Hiren's CD or USB drive. I've tried disabling secure boot in the bios and enabling the boot menu but whenever I access the boot menu the only option that shows up is "windows boot manager" which then sends me back into the boot loop. The bios version is P11-B0
I'm at a loss and any help would be greatly appreciated.

What's on the USB thumb drive, and how did you create it? I had an awful time getting my Wife's Acer laptop to boot from my Windows install thumb drive. I eventually used diskpart to create it and had success.
