weak usb-3 performance

hi there, perhaps someone could shed some light on this issue: i/o performance when copying to an external usb3-disk was up to 120 MB/s under XP. This is what I expected. Since upgrading to WIN 8.1 i/o performance dropped down to a peak of 25 MB/s. No Hardware change! based on device manager...
