Are there helpful .lnk files ?

I have been deleting a malware on my pc using the attrib -h -r -s /s /d (Drive location):\*.* command and a skypee file comes up as well as recycle bin. My next action has been to delete them.

Hopefully this has solved the issue.

Of interest is that, when I go to the search bar on Explorer and key in ".lnk" a stream of directories come up? Perhaps this are locations where the files were previously, but might there be any helpful system ".lnk" files ?

Moreover, system volume information came up after the attrib command, is it harmful as well? Should I delete it? If so, how?

Thanks. ☺

You don't want to get rid of those, .lnk are integral to your system, they are shortcuts.

System volume information is for system restore. If you've been dealing with malware you may want to get rid of your restore points and start fresh.
