    Recovery Options

Hey guys, been a Windows 7 users until a recent upgrade. I want to recover a possibly malware infested computer. Can I use the recovery option of "I'm keeping mu computer " as opposed to "Recycle the PC" under restore pc? I assume that the second option is for secure fie deletion. But in terms of virus /malware/trojans is the first option sufficient (if one goes the recovery route)?
