Hello all, I have Win 8.1 OEM and every time I manually disable the windows firewall through control panel it reverts back to being enabled when I reboot system. This is a hassle and was wondering if there was a remedy. Appreciate any help.

I don't know why in the world you would want to turn it off permanently. However, after selecting "Turn Firewall Off", are you also clicking OK at the bottom of the window or just closing out with the X in the upper right? Clicking OK should make the choice permanent.

Hello cbwilsha, thanx for the reply. I already run Comodo frewall and do not want ot have two firewalls running- that would make not sense. As to your suggestion I have tried that to no avail, windows firewall still activates at reboot. Arg
