Capture.PNG I just wanted to know if this is a virus. It started poping up after i installed some video editing software, and i cant close it. Any ideas on what this is?

P.S. when i ran McAfee's Stinger, it closed out.
and i tracked down the .exe file and it is secureupdater.exe

It Defiantly looks like a Virus . Especially if it's closing out Official Virus Protectors like McAfee. You need to REMOVE whatever hell program you downloaded and Run a Full scan so it can fix whatever damage that program has done. I believe it is Either Spyware or Trojan.

i found the source of that .exe file and deleted it. Now i have this weird user account labeled:

Account Unknown(S-1-5-21-1397405003-771758488-3733770779-1004)

i have no idea what this user account is, the weird thing is though when i go to user accounts i don't see anything but my user

You probably have a Browser Hijack virus. Download avast antivirus and use their browser cleanup. That may get rid of it

Something else might have been installed when you downloaded that virus.

Try using Norton Power Eraser. Go to Advanced and select Unwanted Application Scan. After that try a System Scan. Used this a lot and its proven to remove a lot of problems on my friends who unwittingly installed a virus.

This is a custom made build PC that I put together. It may be low on the spec sheet but its decent enough to run a few games.
