Hello. First of all I apologize if I put this on the wrong section.
This problem hit my laptop recently, he shows a warning from the Action Center saying "turn on Firewall" but everytime I click the warning an error message pops up saying "Action Center cannot turn on Windows Firewall.". When I try to do it manually no error message appears, it just does nothing.
Tried using Malwarebytes, found 9 threats and deleted them but didn't solve the problem. Tried "sfc /scannow" as administrator, and it found corrupt files but couldn't fix all of them. Then I went to the services, by clicking win + r and typing services.msc, and noticed that the Firewall service wasn't running. Tried starting it, but an error message popped up saying "Windows could not start windows firewall on local computer...specific service error 13". Tried rebooting after all this, but the problem still persists.
I never used any antivirus or malwaye/spyware software, always stuck to Windows Defender which may have been my mistake. Can anyone please help me? I really don't want to reinstall Windows
Thank you for your time.
