    Panda Antivirus Question???

Is it supposed to stop, which allows you to manually pause and then resume to start scanning again?

Note: This only happens on the 8.1 computer. It doesn't happen on the 7 computers.

Don't know about Win 7 but in 8 it looks like a yes.

"During a scan job, Panda shows a progress bar, full path of the currently scanned file, along with total scanned items and detected infections. The computer can be set to automatically power off when scanning finishes, and the task may be paused and resumed at a later time. On job completion it is possible to examine statistics and export them to file."

Personally I would not pause a scan, less chance of missing something.

Well, it stops and usually doesn't resume. So, in order for me to make it scan again, I have to pause and resume. Is it still scanning, even though it looks as if it is stopped?

Are you sure it is stopped or just reading files as they tend to do. It may be an idea to uninstall it and reinstall with the latest version.

Before I did the refresh a couple of days ago, it was doing it then. I had to reinstall Panda, and it still does it after the refresh. Also, I am not sure if it's checking or not. How long is it supposed to last for it to check? As stated before, my Windows 7 laptops do not ever do this.

I meant reading files instead of checking.

It depends on the speed of the machine and the type of files it is checking. You may also verify that you have the correct version Installed. I know you don't have another 3rd party anti virus program installed but consider temporarily disabling Malwarebyes, if the paid version, when you do your scan as a test.

It's not a slow machine. It's a 1tb hard drive. Im not sure what the speed of it is.
