Solved Malware issues

I just bought a windows 8.1 Dell laptop and I am having horrible issues with Malware. I have installed a malware removal tool that I pretty much run daily because the issue keeps coming back. I cannot turn on my firewall because it is being controlled by McAfee and I have to purchase it to turn it on, same issue exists with Windows Defender, it has been disabled which really seems ridiculous to me. Basically my browsers are being hijacked to use a different search engine and it opens extra tabs on every load which makes browsing painful and slow.

Let us know if you have problems - some malware stops you downloading malwarebytes which would make it slightly more complicated but we will see. Good luck :)

I would boot into "safe mode with networking" to install and run MalwareBytes., It is excellent at removing this stuff... Buy the Premium version for $25 (for three PC's, for a year) to prevent this malware...

Agreed if the virus/malware is keeping you from running anti virus programs or installing anti virus programs the best way to remove such infection is in safe mode.. But BE SURE TO TURN OFF THE RESTORE POINT! By right clicking my computer or my pc and clicking properties and go to system protection and turn of the restore point before booting into safe mode. If not the malware/virus may return to the system using system protection or restore point.
