I had to uninstall McAfee control over Win8.1 firewall, because the Apple Mobile Device Support program kept rolling back !!

Do not trust McAfee at all, I never have. Neither do I like Norton, who leave spyware inside their software.

I am on record in here using Kaspersky. But problems became evident when I realised KIS was not detecting a lot of adware or spyware. I load Malwarebytes which DID find it.

So when KIS ran out I changed to AVG Security Suite 2014 and its brilliant. It even stops me downloading software BEFORE it comes down and informs me what is in it that should not be. I love it.

My pc is 100% clean since installing the full AVG software. I also have Premium Malwarebytes and the freebie Spybot. All in all, covered!!

just because an antivirus or antimalware program tell you something you are downloading is bad doesn't mean it is ,I download apps created by users in another help forum to use in the removal of nasty's things on a computer .and MSE tell me no-no ,but it also gives options to continue and I have to click that to get it to let the app through .
also was trying a program I downloaded to watch free movies and tv shows[uninstalled it all ready] ,and the shows/movies are download/streamed through torrent program of sorts ,and you agree to seed the stream as well[so up and down streaming ,lots of banwidth needed for that iam sure ] .and my install of malwarebytes pro reported a bad site being accessed and such when the streaming started ,so I uninstall the app

I do not use torrents as they are loaded with bad stuff, and to tell the difference is impossible until a download commenced. I once saw a usable copy of the good old Doom game and thought I would give it a go, the alarms went nuclear!!!!!!! So I did not download it and immediately afterwards untorrented my then pc. If I ask about something now and the answer is get it off a torrent, I say forget it.

yeah ,I deleted torrent program years ago ,actually never installed it since I went to win8 .but this site I am referring to was suppose to be free TV shows and Movies ,its worked all right, but when I seen it was using a torrent[you became a seed for the show you watched ,so upload and download ] in the program I downloaded from the site ,I removed it, it was called popcorn time ,billed its self as the Netflix for bitorrent ,
