Used Minitool to delete, create, format and then wipe the partition. The existing files still don't get deleted!

IF the files are still there after going through all that...then a great big hammer , a rock and a 'Arrrggghhh' noise is all I can suggest.

The write protect switch is off, right?

Do you have a camera that takes SD? Maybe that could format it, the camera should not be vulnerable to the malware. You may just have a bad SD card though.

I think I have a bad SD card. Formatting via the camera didn't stop the files from reappearing in the card.
