SAS and MBAM

I noticed that SUPER Anti Spyware finds a lot of tracking cookies and pups .
MBAM no longer has a quick scan but when it runs the threat 5 minute one it too finds some pups and a cookie here and there.
If I remove a detection and it is a false positive isn't that losing a file I should not have removed.
I have removed and kept MBAM.
My question is should I always quarantine or should I remove detections?

I guess the same applies to Defender or any other scanner for malware. Spyware blaster is fine, to my knowledge.
Thank you

I do not trust SUPER Anti Spyware or Spyware blaster. i use MalwareBytes Pro and I review files that are quarantined to ensure they aren't "false positives", then I delete them. The purpose of quarantine is to be sure that legitimate files aren't deleted.

I have been using SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes', and SpywareBlaster side by side of one another for about 5 years and have not come across any issues with them... I Quarantine all threats and once reviewed I then decide what I will do.

The reviewing part is hard for average users. Should I send all findings to the program forum for an opinion or just remove things like cookies and pups/pums?

MBAM does have quick scan, it's been renamed to "Threat Scan". A full scan in MBAM is now "Custom Scan".

Hi,
I've used sas pro for many years now,
It's great and doesn't find anything worth having,
Mbam pro now premium is okay but is still pretty buggy,
I would lean more to quarantine on it than sas ;)
SAS also shows url's of the cookies which you can add to your restricted sites lists :)
Cheers.

I am putting more emphasis on analyzing detections than I did before as I put too much trust in the programs.
As I said, it is not always ez for an average user but necessary.

Ha yes it does matter I suppose on what is found but in the majority of cases I've seen sas only keep low... priority cookies from building up and causing other issues,
Too many cookies/ trackers will and do effect browsers most of all and page loading,
Mbam misses these items on all counts so sas is another great free or paid for tool at everyone's preference,

But as far as trusting sas = Yes I do without hesitation :D

mbam 2.0... not so much,
mbam 1.75... without question ;)

I have been using superantispare pro for 5+ years. Iw as an excellent program when Nick owned it. Once he sold it, it changed dramactically. It does not do weekend updates, crashes alot on clients computers and recently has many false positives. I still run it on my computers and some of my client computers because we have life time upgrades, which they took that away also., but i hadno choice but to take it off many client computers because when it scans it gets stuck, crashes and locks up windows 8 or 7. It lost is major dedication that nick put into it. I have malwarebytes pro now on the computers that had superantispware pro on it, and on 2 of my own machines i am also running malwarebytes pro and on the others, the free version.
malwarebytes also gives me freebees to pass out at my seminars and a licensed version of their pro software to raffle off. Superantispyware did too until Nick sold the company.

On sunday, but i hardly ever see it do it on saturday, annd you are one of the lucky ones i guess. I actually liked the program, it saved me from reformatting computers that were infected. It is just in the past year, it has been going downhill, which is a shame because i liked it much better then mambam. They are suppose to be coming out soon with a major upgrade, i am hoping maybe it will be better. I understand why nick sold it, but he was the core of the program and now he is not.
