Security software providers for Windows 8 Consumer Preview

We recommend that you install security software to help protect your computer from malware and other potentially harmful software, and that you keep your security software up to date. Windows Defender is automatically installed for you as part of Windows 8 Consumer Preview. If you prefer to use any of the antivirus software recommended here, Windows Defender will silently turn itself off so that the antivirus software you choose can help protect your PC.
