The Norton internet security 12 (that i currently have) ruins the Hybrid boot feature! so make sure that you disable it.

It doesn't know what are windows features, since it don't even know about it. Instead Use that (don't even install the old version of 12 it instantly strikes on)

What version are you running. I am running NIS 2012 19.5.1.2 with dual boot and I just found out about that Hybrid boot and it is on by default. What kind of problems does it cause? Everything seems to be running great.

Hard to say anymore, since i have installed that new one already, but it was the NIS 2012 version that i've downloaded as a trial from the website and registered it with my product key (yay! 8 more days to the trial, have to get a new one soon)

Hmmmm, Beta Trial only runs for 60 days. I plan to use Win 8 CP longer than that.

Folks, I don't know how good the Norton AV for Windows 8 is, but years ago, I switched to free anti-malware and I've never had a problem. NEVER put credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc., on your computer. When I installed the Win 8 Preview, I didn't know that it included Windows Defender, so I installed Avast. I never had a problem with it.
