I am running Windows 8.1 64 Bit. Last night a virus "Qone8.com" Hijacked my IE Browser. How do I get rid of this?

I have the same problem when I was in Windows 8, it hijacked my Chrome, Firefox and IE. Tried scanning the whole system for virus but I got nothing. but ofc for Chrome and Firefox can be solved by reinstalling the software, for IE I have no idea so I just reinstall the Windows and everything fine now

For our knowledge, please share how you incurred the adware. Download I presume ? Seems to be very serious adware.
Also, what is your AV ? Though not sure how much help AV would provide.

Hi, i recently had to deal with this myself.
Quone8.com is a page that pretends to be a search engine. At first it might fool some people and make them think that it is as reliable as any other one, but that is not true.
Thing like this come with a certain purpose, like installing all kinds of add-ons on your browser that may later send you fake pop up messages with warnings and advertisements. These kind of browser hijackers can also change your homepage.
What i did was to manually remove it from my browsers' extensions and add ons (you can do that from the settings)
I also searched in my computer for related files. Removing your temporary files might be a good idea also.

However, this did not solve the problem. As much as I tried I couldn't get rid of it just like this.
You will need some kind of antimalware software. (Personally I used this one Malwarebytes : Free anti-malware download)
I already had an antivirus program, but sadly, it can't catch malware like this.
