[Q] SmartScreen options are grayed out

I was messing around with some bat files, and one was for disabling SmartScreen (I managed to turn it on again with another bat file), but now I can't change those options myself because they are grayed out :/, Can someone help me out enable those again?, I think it's related to the registry. Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello Gianni,

Please upload the .bat files, or link to where you got them, and I'll be happy to take a look at them and post back with a file to undo them so you will be able to change these settings again.

Ok, lets' give this a try to reverse what those did.

    1. Download the attached .reg file below to your desktop.

    2. Double click/tap on the downloaded .reg file to merge it.

    3. If prompted, click/tap on Run, Yes (UAC), Yes, and OK to approve the merge.

    4. Restart the PC to apply.

Well, so much for that then. Do you have a restore point available dated before this happened to do a system restore with?

Under internet options>privacy>location, I can't select never allow websites to use your location. I assume because windows 8 has location services(in my case I think they are turned off) this is why I can't select this option. Does this sound correct to you all?
