    Security for Windows Eight Conflict

Greetings. Got my wife a Windows 8. (Windows 8 is a classic example of fixing something than wasn't broke). Anyhow, since the security that comes with it is going off soon. I have Microsoft Security Essential loaded on my computer with Windows 7 O/S so we considered that but found that it is not compatible with Windows 8. Furthermore we understand that Microsoft Defender is. We proceeded to start the process of loading it on the laptop and found that Security Essentials is on her computer. We decided to shelve the process until we find out what's going on with this.

In windows 8 windows defender is almost like Microsift Security Essentials but it is made for Windows 8. It also when opened looks like MSE except one cannot set up a scheduled scan from the program. You need to go to task scheduler in win 8 to do it
You cannot run MSE in windows 8
But WD is your best antivirus program to use with it

Headset / speakers conflict in Sound & Audio
Hi there! I've just finished building my first PC, but I have some sound problems. I want to have my speaker set as the main audio output, so I've plugged it in the back of the PC, in the audio outlet of the motherboard (Gigabyte G1.Sniper B5). But when I play a game, I want to use my headset,...
I upgraded to Windows 8.1 last week and that itself actually had some problems and wasn't a smooth upgrade at all. After several restarts and Windows searching for a solution itself the problem seemed to be ironed out. Or so I thought. After the 8.1 upgrade, and reading through various forum...
Is there any sort of advanced options when a file conflict is encountered when copying files? The "Skip x file(s) with the same date and size" option is nice, but I'd often like to skip files which only have the same size and the date may be the same or different - it's unimportant. Is there any...
I keep getting an error message again and again saying "Windows has detected an IP address conflict". The internet (DSL) cable goes directly to the back of my CPU without any other device such as a router. 21333 What should I do?
