"Application Blocked" dialog box on some sites

I have a couple of crossword puzzle sites that I have used for a long time that have just been blocked. The message looks like this:

    Application Blocked
    Application Blocked by Security Settings

    Name: Crossword
    From: http:// ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Your security settings have blocked an application
from running with an insecure or expired jre.

I cannot find a way to change the settings to allow these sites in.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you

Looks like your system has an older version of java. Have you updated to the latest version.
