I don't entirely agree with this.

My view is that comparative anti-virus tests are a bit like supporting your favourite sports team. Just because they won the last 6 times, it doesn't mean there's any guarantee they'll win this time. But they are a bit more likely to win than the team who lost the last 6 times.

Same with virus tests - just because an AV product wins lots of tests, it doesn't mean it will stop the malware on that website you look at tomorrow. But it is perhaps just a bit more likely than the AV which lost the last few tests.

Many antivirus available in the market. I used Avast, Norton and Protegent. but protegent 360 antivirus is the best. In this antivirus many feautures avilable included track all records on our PCs. It is the antivrus cum activity reporter software.

I've been using defender/security essentials with malwarebytes pro and so far it's working well.

I still like windows defender better, it comes with 8 it is made for 8 and i do not think you need anything else for antivirus as i stated before, i have tried bitdefender on one of my test machinrs and it slowed down the machine, if you want extra protection get malwarebytes free and run it manually every few days

Been using Avast for years, but I have a paid version and a free version in my home network for my machines. I have internet security and anti-virus. The internet security includes a software firewall. I believe that both applications now have Avast Safezone integrated, where you could go to sites without attracting
spyware and is not suseptible to keylogers. This makes it useful for online banking, and other stuff. It takes less bandwidth then Nortons. You can each one for a year for FREE per email account.
