Hello Jon, and welcome to Eight Forums.

The shield overlay icon is normal to see on a program's icon when it requires administrator approval via UAC prompt before running "elevated".

If you completely disable UAC, it will break all Metro Store apps and prevent them from running until UAC is enabled again. Disabling UAC will not always remove the shield overlay.

Do you recommend me to disable UAC? Will it be an issue or bring other problems and bugs?

    Thank You.

No. I wouldn't recommend to disable UAC. Doing so will prevent Store apps from being able to run.

The shield overlay icons are supposed to be there.
