No anti viruses are 100% reliable. If you don't have an up to date Database definition then they won't find it, viruses are created on daily, hourly etc.. and if those software don't have it defined in their database, the viruses will not be caught.

First, You need to turn off Autorun:

Win+X -> Run and type gpedit.msc

Administrative Templates >Windows Components > Autoplay Policies
, double click "Turn off Autoplay", Next is click Enabled, and then select All drives so that you can disable Autorun on all drives.

Next, reboot your PC, set the folder Options to show "hidden files" & "Protected hidden system files", open the memory card and check if there is a file call "autorun.inf" in the root folder. If there is, open it with notepad to see what it does.

Next, right click on these files and try to delete them.

Good luck !!!

I have been helping people with BSOD's and 30% of the problems were caused by Anti Virus software.
Having said that. I am not a fan using Anti Virus, Windows defender that comes with Windows 8 is efficient enough for me. Turn off Autorun is another way to prevent Viruses spreading into your PC is also a must.
