Win8 Defender Problem

I upgraded from Win7 Pro 64 to Win8 Pro 64 a couple of days ago. So far, I have noticed no problems except that Windows Defender will not let me change any of it's settings. It will scan and update but I can't change from the defaults. The error 0x80080015 comes up and says it must have a name under the clsid key. I could find no info on this particular code. Any help appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Unfortunately the sfc procedure didn't work. It's not a dealbreaker though, as long as I don't have to change any advanced settings or disable it. If I find any other issues , I may just do a refresh.
