Is there anyway to turn off the annoying popup in the top right of the screen aswell as the irritating sound everytime it it detects Malware which seems to be every 5 seconds, I am also running Malware Bytes Pro so do I really need Defender anyway. Thanks.

I am surprised you can run both at the same time. If really running, deactivate Malware Bytes Pro to see what happens. Defender may be detecting Malware Bytes Pro. Personally, I'd use Defender rather than Malware Bytes Pro.

HMM..well in the end I decided to just go with ESET smart security but I'll do a bit of experimenting, thanks for the reply !
Had a problem with My pictures.scr popping up now and again and Defender didn't pick it up at all, Malware bytes did so just have to wait and see !

I'm also running MalWareBytes Pro with the built-in Win7 Microsoft Security Essentials and they work well together on my PC. They are complimentary as MalWareBytes Pro isn't an AV, it's a different product and needs an AV product along with it.
