Yesterday I had to reset to default settings after my computer had a nervous breakdown. I re installed windows 8 and everything seemed fine. I have now noticed that windows security centre will not start.

When i go to action centre and try to start it i get message saying security centre cannot be started, thats it nothing else.

If I try to turn on firewall i get a message saying "Windows firewall can't change some of your settings. Error code 0x80070422. It did work before and I have no 3rd party security software installed.

My system is dual boot with win 7 which is operating fine. Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Ok, just ran malwarebytes scan and it found 2 files as follows:

2 x trjan.Agent.Gen
C:\users\Paul\AppData\Local\Temp\Svchost.exe

I have tried deleting them using malwarebytes and manually but when i restart the computer they are back.

Really dont want to do another complete reset if possible but may have too.

HELP.
