    Windows Defender in the notification area


    I have an am running Windows 8 RTM and am using the desktop, In the notification area should there be an icon for Windows Defender? There is an icon on the desktop.

    Hello Rilbet,

    I'm afraid that there's not a Windows Defender icon in the notification area in Windows 8.

    If you like, you could use either tutorial below to make using Windows Defender easier to use in Windows 8.
