NO sound from Itunes, VLC player etc.

Whenever I listen to music on itunes, there is no audio, I thought it was an itunes problem, but it also happens to VLC player. I can watch the video but there is no sound. However, there is audio for youtube and my browser.

I tried to install realtek but it doesn't help, also it says that my dolby home theathre drive is missing.

any help?

bump . this is really annoying, like itunes and vlc player is the only software I used that doesn't have sound.
I just watched a movie with windows movie maker, and it worked perfect, but I can't watch it on vlc

Fill in your system specs using Speccy, and then update all drivers for your system, including sound card.

EDIT:No sound in Windows

So I just downloaded and installed realtek from the sticky on this forum, but it didn't show up on the device manager. and here is my specs.

I can't install this driver, whenever I do, the device manager is telling me that "windows has determined my driver is up to date"

Still doesn't work. I find that it's itunes, vlc, and the music app from the windows store
and I am just wondering what's the different between realtek and the driver I have right now?
