    Asus Xonar D2X

Greetings all, I installed the Win8 Enterprise Eval 64-bit, but quickly went back to Win7 because of sound drivers.

I turned on Test Mode and disabled Driver Enforcement and tried both the Asus drivers and Brainbit drivers but couldn't get a working control panel but did get several blue screens.

My question is should I wait for Asus to get a real Win8 driver or should I look to another sound card. I really don't want to use my onboard...it sounds like crap.

    Thanks in advance.....

Creative x-fi cards also have problems. But they are fixable.

I had the same problem with my Xonar D2 drivers, using Windows 7 compatibility mode when installing the drivers seems to work for me.

If you have problems with the sound in Silver Light just go to the Asus control panel and mess with the DSP mode settings, that will fix the messed up sound problem in Silver Light.

I did a clean install of Windows 8.1 recently. Now when my computer wakes up from sleep I receive a DRIVER_IRQ_NOT LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD related to cmudaxp.sys, which I've discovered is related to my Asus Xonar Essence STX sound card. I am running the Windows 8.1 beta drivers directly from Asus's...
Summary: I am putting this in the general forum section, and please bear with me. I had posted earlier a thread about my Asus Ultrabook backlit keyboard not illuminated. Thank you all that have responded to that post, but nothing worked. I ended up sending in my Asus for RMA and warranty...
So I recently just replaced my Asus P6X58-E WS with another Asus P6X58-E WS from Amazon. I always remember hearing to ignore the drivers disk on CD that comes with product and go straight to web-sight and gather latest. (I ALWAYS keep CD for just in case moments) When I was running Win7 last year...
Hey, yesterday I went from windows 7 to windows 8, everytime I close a game or a program with sound, this buzzing noise comes, and it wont stop until I restart my PC. Might be worth mentioning that the drivers are beta drivers, but they have been since 2012, so the shouldnt be a problem. And yes I...
Just got my first AMD card in years (maybe around ~5 years), I installed the latest driver from AMD without issues (13.10) then I installed the driver for the ASUS Xonar DS, the driver installed fine, but the sound card is not being detected as the primary Sound Device for Windows, it appears with...
So why this problem just started, I don't know. Windows 8 64 pro with a Xonar DX sound card. Works fine on start up or restart, but wont work after waking from sleep mode. Devise management says it's working fine but ITunes or Pandora, (or anything for that matter) won't play. Checking...
So I recently installed Windows 8 and I am getting Static out of both my GPU and my dedicated audio card, I tried reinstalling the drivers multiple times with no luck, I also tried the unified Xonar drivers with no luck. I would think it was my card or speakers but its affecting the GPU sound also...
