    Headphone mic not detected

I just realised that all this time on Skype and FPS games, I am using my built-in mic and not my headphone mic. My headphone mic is working perfectly on iPhone, iPod and other mobile devices but on my laptop the mic is somehow not detected. Please help me, how do I enable my headphone mic? Headphone is working fine, audio is fine but the mic is not in used, only using the built-in mic on my laptop.

I've done some voice recording and I notice it is using my built-in mic and not the headphone mic. It is already plugged in with combined jack. Using splitter cable also not working. Screenshot shows my recording devices, if that matters.

Note : I also test with my other headphones that has mic and same thing, mic not detected on my laptop, still use built-in mic.

Depending on what type of jack(s) you have on the Laptop, the iPhone type headphone/jack connector will not work. If this is the case you need an adapter.

Standard Stereo Plug used by most PC's.

Never mind, it finally works now. After several google searching, I figured my Realtek HD Audio Manager is out dated. I downloaded the one provided here in this forum, and after installing it, it now detects the mic. My recording devices now shows the right panel jack on the information, thanks though.
