Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Update Catalog

To use this Web site's full functionality, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later.

To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads Website.
If you prefer to use a different Web browser, you can get updates from the Microsoft Download Center.

So IE11 is no good then - idiots!!

that's weird. the MS Update Catalog site seems to work on my end using IE11 on Win7 and IE11 on Win8.1 - both x64 editions.

alright, version 6.0.1.7625 WHQL (9/30/2015) has just been posted at Microsoft Update Catalog. AND here are the 32bit & 64bit links to v7625 for those using non-IE web browsers as those users will have a Download Now button available.

Thanks erpster, the direct link works, no idea why IE11 doesn't work for me. Just get a blank update catalog page.

are you using Win8.1 x64/64bit edition? if so, you MUST run 32bit IE11 and have "Enhanced Protected Mode" turned off or disabled. Open Task Manager, click on the Details tab and make sure you have iexplore.exe 32 listed. If it only shows, iexplore.exe, then you are using 64bit IE11 where the MS Update Catalog site won't work on 64bit Internet Explorer. See here:
    https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials...-turn-off.html
Also check if any addons installed for IE are blocking access to the MS Update Catalog site. Also, try accessing the MS Update Catalog site on different times of the day (overnight, early morning, noon time, etc.)

    This just in - v7628 WHQL is out on MS Update Catalog for 32bit & 64bit Windows 7, 8.1 & 10

From the 64bit version just turn of all active x filtering(the little "forbidden sign next to the refresh icon in the address barClick image for larger version() and except the add-on offered.

Man what a pain in the butt! Not jumping through those hoops just to download audio drivers. My Realtek chip is older anyway and probably getting no benefit from newer drivers. Doesn't even support the Maxx Audio stuff. Thanks for the info though.

EDIT: Thanks Cliff was typing while you posted. That sounds better, never noticed the notice (little icon). Will try next time.

You're welcome Steve. I use that icon all the time to set my security settings on a per site basis(they are remembered), for example everything off on Eight & Ten Forums, but turned on full for Softpedia. That's one of the things that Edge will need on Windows 10 before I start to use it a my default.
