Go to the Device Manager and "recycle" the sound. RIGHT click on the entry for your sound card and then LEFT click "Uninstall". DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. This fixes a lot of varied problems and may take care of yours.

thx but when i tried that it didn't work so i just went to my pc settings and restored it to the point before the update and it worked and then because it needed to update i had to update it again and this time it did not mess my sound up and it took me a while to figure out that it was me who messed it up and not my laptop cause i accidentally switched it off before it finished so thx for the advice sir and if it happens again i will follow it but i am afraid it was my fault so next time i will be careful
