For the love of God, can someone please tell me what the hell is going on with this pile of crap on my motherboard?
I swear, I will never, ever buy a motherboard with the Realtek audio chip on it. I will buy only motherboards with the Creative chip, not the Realtek garbage. I have always been having problems with them. They burn like firecrackers, giving you no time to even boot your pc. My pc is always grounded completely, by the way. It didn't help. Before this, I bought the same motherboard, and right out the package the realtek chip was DEAD. Can you believe it? The level of quality is just... outstanding. It is beyond the levels of quality - it doesn't give a squat about quality. It should have been a sign for me, but I was dumb enough to just replace the motherboard. Not anymore. Now, only creative.
After rebooting my computer, audio from my front panel port stopped reproducing, and now just makes a low humming noise. I plugged my headphones to the rear port, but windows says "Speakers: Not plugged-in".
So, I decided to update my drivers. When I tried to uninstall the old ones, I get this error. I downloaded the drivers from ASUS website, and tried to install them over the old ones, but.. it's the same error again. I tried cleaning the registry, and running the uninstall\install processes from safe mode - same error.
