Sound Test Plays All Speakers Music Won't

Windows 8.1 64-bit
Realtek High Definition Audio
Motherboard: B85-G41 PC Mate(MS-7850)
Speakers: Logitech X-530

The set includes 4 speakers ( two front and two back), Center, and Subwoofer.

I'm not using the two back speakers.

In the RealTek Audio manager's sound test, I hear sound from the front left, front right, center, and subwoofer.

Under enhancements I have speaker fill checked.

When I play any music from YouTube, iTunes, Spotify, I'm only hearing the sound from the front left, front right and subwoofer. For some reason it will not use the center. Should I hear sound from the center?

Another quick thing about this. When I play something from YouTube and it has an advertisement, the sound in the advertisement plays from the center speaker! Isn't that a kick in the pants! Any windows sounds, like new e-mail notification, plays from center speaker. Seems isolated to only music.

Most music is recorded in stereo. No center channel.

True, since recorded in stereo, no center channel. Check in sound properties in device manager, select speaker device then select configure.
Look in Realtek HD audio Manager make sure speaker fill is set there, also look for virtual surround setting or play with the sound effects tab.

Works fine for me even though music, but i have all 5.1 speakers hooked up on Creative Sound Blaster card. If no rear speakers is the rear 3.5mm jack still plugged in anyway ? Why do you want it in center channel for music, unless for just talk ?
Commercials on youtube might be mono or more then 2 channel, reason hear it in the center. Only more effective if had all 5.1 Lot's of software are different, then it also in settings you use, set and way it is hooked up, optical or analog.

It is working correctly. No music will come out of the center speaker when listening to stereo.

Yep, but a lot to do with device software settings, system settings and how it is hooked up. Mine does play through center channel with CD's, Mp3 and Flac. Although mine is hooked through Optical cable.

Under enhancements I have speaker fill checked.

I just assumed it would sound better if all speakers were firing. Maybe not?

No, not really going make it sound better with center channel playing, would if you use Surround rear speakers though. I said check tab in Audio manager named Sound effects, try different ones, other then that not much more going get in sound with 2 front, center and a woofer, just virtual surround. Have not used Realtek in years to remember it well enough.
