    Using TV as audio device

    Hello,
I have a GTX 650 and I am using Windows 8 and I am not able use my TV as a sound output.
NVIDIA Control Panel recognizes the TV as a HDMI sound output but it does not appear in the Windows audio output devices list.

    Playback Devices
    Show Disabled Devices - checked
    Show Disconnected Devices - checked

    NVIDIA drivers up to date,

It used to work on another pc with GTS 250 and Windows 7, it used to appear as "SAMSUNG" in the Windows devices list.
That is why I think it's a Windows 8 issue.

Does anyone had this same issue? What can I do to make the TV appear again in the devices list?

    (sorry about the portuguese screenshots)

    Thanks.

You need NVIDIA HDMI audio. That is not shown. The Video card is the one to supply the HDMI audio.

In the Sound Playback Panel, RIGHT click in a blank area and then click to show "disabled" and "disconnected" devices. If the NVIDIA HDMI Audio is displayed enable it. If the NVIDIA HDMI audio is not displayed, reinstall the NVIDIA driver and see if that corrects it. The NVIDIA HDMI Audio will also be listed in the Device Manger, Sound section if installed.

Here is my Sound Playback panel. I have AMD Radeon, but your NVIDIA should have a similar display.

    Thanks for your reply fireberd,
NVIDIA just released a new driver today.
Lets see if that solves the issue.
