Solved My sound stops working on the internet

Windows media player works but when i go to places like youtube it works for a little bit then stops .I restart my computer and it seems to work but then their is no sound again.I checked for viruses and got rid of them but it did not help. My volume is on but nothing plays but windows media player .I use an online alarm clock and it did not wake me up because their was no sound.

Edit: never mind, i just plugged in some headphones and removed them now it works.
