Microphone Doesn't Work When Headphones are in Audio Jack

You should have a procedure to restore the PC to the original settings when you first got it. If you don't have the instructions, Toshiba most likely has that on their web site. A "Factory reinstall" will delete any user data so back that up on some removable media first so you can recover it.

A Celeron is at the low end of the Intel CPU line. I didn't even know Celeron's were still being sold. Celeron processors, of some sort, have been sold since the Windows XP days on entry level (low price) PC's.

Okay, thank you! What if this doesn't do a thing? How certain are you that this will fix it? Oh, right. So, I have a bad CPU, you're saying?

No, I'm not saying the CPU is defective. Just that its not a high powered CPU like the Intel i3, i5 or i7's.

No guarantee the reinstall will fix it. But if you call the PC vendor for support most likely the first thing they will want you to do is the reinstall. If the reinstall doesn't fix it, the next step is the vendor support. Only the PC vendor's support can get whatever is wrong corrected under warranty, since this is a new PC.

Ah, okay. Thanks. I get it.

Okay, I'll try it. I'll mark this as Solved and if still no luck, I will ring them. Thanks for all your help!
