Hey,

I have had a few problems with the above laptop which appear to be have solved by installed a new pure SSD hard drive. Windows 8.1 has been installed and the OS has activated fine, the only strange thing is that it appears i have lost all audio and the speaker symbol at the bottom right hand side of the screen has a little red cross on it.

Tried installing the manufactures drivers but nothing has happened.

Anything I can try to try and trouble shoot this problem at sort it out swiftly please?

Thanks

Look in Device Manager for any problem devices
-> the category expands to show problem devices when you first view the list.

Post a screen shot of the General tab for any device that shows a problem

Also follow this this tutorial to post a PUBLISHED Speccy report:

Nucci probably sent you to the right place - a driver is most likely missing.

May be more than just the sound driver was not installed. In most cases Windows will install the generic, basic function HIgh Definition Audio Drivers if a compatible sound card is detected.
