    Sandisk is among cheapest here too, I have two micro CD 16GB in the phones and another full size one of 4GB in a camera and all are still going strong for couple of years. Burnt couple of Kingstons though.

    I have a 2-3year old 8GB SanDisk cruzer blade that has had atleast 9 persistent Linux distros which means lots of writes and formatting and it's still going strong. They're cheap and dependable like a Levi's jacket.
