when i turned on the computer today i found out that when i unplug the headphones i can't hear with the speakers...and when i plug them back in they work just fine..so at first i thought that it was a hardware problem with the laptop speakers...but then i decided to uninstall the audio card driver (realtek) and when i did it i could switch between the headphones and the speakers manually but they didn't switch automatically...so...now i decided to install the audio card driver and i cant enable the speakers again...

i uploaded a screenshot so you could see what i see..might help make it faster...

thank you for your help

Sounds like a hardware problem with the headphone jack. Most headphone jacks have a separate contact for sensing and if the contact is stuck the system will think headphones are still plugged in. You can try plugging the headphones in and out fast several times, but generally the jack is not repairable. Many Laptops have a small "daughter board" with the I/O on it and if the jack is the problem that board will have to be replaced.
