External headset problems with Clevo W355SS

Hi,

I have the Clevo W355SS laptop. The official site is: ??Clevo . I ordered from Logical Blue One: Logical Blue One - Horize W355SS Gaming Notebook

I'm having a problem with getting external headsets to work correctly. The laptop has a mic and audio jack. The headset, Turtle Beach X12, is powered by USB and has a mic and audio plug.

The problems:

1. The microphone will not work at all. Only the laptop's internal mic will work.

2. The audio received through the headset is off. For example, in a song, the voice will be softer than the background instrumentals when it shouldn't be.

I have determined it is not the headset because it works fine on another desktop.

I have determined it could be the audio drivers but I'm not getting any luck installing ones from the official site or from the disc the laptop came with.

Any insight or help is appreciated.

This headset system, if not wired and set up correctly can be a problem. It requires USB power to operate. It has an adapter to connect to the PC's headphone and mic connections. Doublecheck that you have everything wired correctly.

The headset comes wired with the adapter, so it does have power running through as the light turns on.
