    No sound in windows 8.1

    Hello Eightforumers,

I have a problem where I don't have sound whenever I played a music and the same goes to my USB Headphones.
I used an application called Driverpack Solution before and updated a few things including the speakers update and things go well after a restarted my pc. After a while, this happen. I did a troubleshooting and nothings worked. Checked if my speaker connected to the PC, all connected. Done a few roll back driver, nothings do the trick.

Is there any solution to this?

The sites that "sell" driver updates, do not always have the correct driver and even show drivers that need updating that do not need it. Best option is to get/use the free drivers from the PC vendor, or in the case of a custom built drivers from the motherboard vendor.

Same way, avoid the programs that promise to fix and speed up your PC. Most techies consider them "snake oil".

What is listed in the Device Manager, Sounds section. Also the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Playback panel?'

MSI doesn't list audio drivers specifically for win 8/8.1 but I would try audio and chipset drivers from here : MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Motherboard, Graphics and more
