Hi.

Just got my Acer Aspire E5 572g back from repair at Acer Repair Center.
They switched out my prosessor, but now i got no sound.
The computer came back with a clean install og win 8.1.

Added a screenshot showing drivers and that sound is "playing"...

Check the Control Panel, Sound Playback Panel. The "Speakers" (RealTek) should be set as the default playback device.

This is my Playback Panel, from Win 7 but it should be the same for Win 8.

It does not show RealTek, only the Microsoft installed High Definition Audio. Is that for HDMI Audio or PC audio? If it is for PC audio that needs to be uninstalled. I would reinstall the correct sound driver, which appears to be RealTek.

I suspect something was disconnected during maintenance. Most have a connector for the speakers that plugs into either the motherboard or the I/O board.

You were absolutely right!
I had thouht it could be that too, so I dismantled the computer.
The geniuses at Acer forgot to reconect the speakers..!

Thanks for the help and time! :)
