Hello everyone.

I recently bought and built my new PC, i have had some problems with it, but I'm here for one particular reason.

When I'm listening to music or watching a movie and a friend just sending me a chat message on skype, the sound lowering itself in the movie/music to 10-15% and after a couple of seconds it goes up, not only skype but also windows own sounds.
It feels like it's some kind of "smart sound thingy" either Windows or Creative is using :S

It's not skype itself and not the "Do nothing" setting neither.
I am using the soundcard on my motherboard, a Creative soundcard.

Anyone else having this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure the motherboard sound is Creative? That's normally not the case. The motherboard sound is usually RealTek, Via, etc and the Creative is merely a software enhancement to the basic motherboard sound.

As this happens with sound "interruptions" to the program you are using for the movies, it may be function of that program. When you have more than one application accessing sound at the same time, there can be conflicts.

"Sound Core 3D" it's the name on the motherboard, and I am using the program "Creative". I fixed the problem med lowering thing, but for some reason either Windows itself or the program wont turn up my music in spotify, when i slide the volume thingy it just adjust it for me, I don't want that :(

I see the Creative Sound Core 3D sound chip. That is a new one. Creative has never made a motherboard sound chip before.

I know nothing about Spotify so I can't say how that works.

But, thanks for getting me to research the new Creative motherboard sound chip.
