Doublecheck the BIOS for the sound option. It may be listed as "legacy" audio controller, integrated audio, etc. If there is a BIOS reset option, you could also try that as generally the audio is enabled in the default settings.

Also, reinstall the Intel motherboard chipset drivers and then see if you can install the IDT. The chipset drivers define (identify) all the devices on the motherboard.

Its got to either be a BIOS problem or a hardware problem. If the sound chip is being detected by Windows, the generic, basic function "High Definition Audio Codec" sound driver will be installed by Windows. Since this is not happening, either there is a hardware problem with the sound chip on the motherboard or somehow the BIOS has it disabled.

Is there any option to reset the BIOS? Laptops can be a problem getting to the CMOS (BIOS) backup battery, but removing the battery (with the PC powered off) for AT LEAST 10 minutes will reset the BIOS.

I missed the High Definition Audio Codec in the Device Manager. But, that appears to be for the HDMI audio, which means the correct video drivers have not been installed for that, either.

i have easy access to the CMOS (BIOS) backup battery ,, there is a lock on the back of the laptop when u slide it opens a plastic cover to get access to the battery ,ram , hard disk, and the wifi chip ,, but if i removed it as u say for 10 mins will it do any harm to my laptop ,would i lose any data ??

here's something i forgot to mention ,,i said i was on youtube when the sound got disabled ,the sec that happened i lifted my laptop and i found out that the table which the laptop was on ,was full of water ,, i turned it off and faced it to a fan ,,and i saw the water coming out from the fan holes in the bottom of the laptop ,, so maybe the sound chip got damaged from that ,,and if so can it be replaced ?

The motherboard, in almost all cases, can only be repaired by the motherboard vendor or by a facility that has the equipment to work on SMT boards. In practicality, if you could get it fixed and that's a very long shot it will cost more than a new board.

If everything else works ok, use a USB connected sound card.
