Edwin, the user has the newer RealTek HD Audio Manager. I have the same manager on my desktop with an ASUS motherboard.

There are several (at least 4 that I found) different models of that H87 Plus motherboard.

There are 5 that I found just trying to do a google search.

    H87M-E
    H87M-Pro
    H87i-Plus
    H87M-Plus/CSM
    H87m-Plus

Whether they all use the same basic hardware?????

Download and run the free Speccy system information tool. It should give you more info.

According to ASUS, for this motherboard, the RealTek has the hardware for jack reassignment.

If you haven't done it, download the direct from RealTek HD Audio Codecs driver, R2.73 and install that. See if it will get you the needed capability.

If just installing over top of the existing drivers, there is a possibility it isn't changing anything.

Try this, go to the Device Manager, uninstall the RealTek and the drivers in the Device Manager. Then restart the PC and when Windows starts it will reinstall the sound, but because the drivers have been uninstalled it most likely will install the generic basic function HD Audio Codec drivers. Then install the downloaded RealTek drivers and if you are lucky it will add the function you want.

If it still does not have the speaker option, then its been disabled by the PC vendor and in that case you will not have that function.
