How can I use 'external speakers' (using the external speaker jack on the back of my touchscreen) ...

AND NOT have it over-ride the BEATS audio.?
Once plugged in , the external speaker are heard BUT the BEATS AUDIO is muted. ! (OFF)

Is there a way to have[/SUP]
[SUP] BOTH[/SUP][SUP] speaker 'sets' be heard ??

Connect the speakers, assuming the BA speakers have an analog connection, to the headphone jack instead of the line out. Beats audio should be available on the headphone jack. This doesn't address why Beats audio is not available on the line out jack, unless HP has it set up for the internal speakers only, and you would need to contact HP about that.

As far as both the internal speakers and the external (or headphone), that depends on what options you have for the IDT configuration. Some internal sound systems (such as my RealTek) have options to either have the speakers muted when the headphone is connected or have both the speakers and headphone.

Thanks for the reply but here's what's happening –
Beats audio is an Intergral part of this EnVy touch screen computer. It IS the default speaker and audio system. There is no beats audio plug to connect separate beats audio speakers or unit to my computer – it is the sound system with a beats audio interface program-
I'm simply trying to add another set of speakers to the computers sound system -Somehow-- and have all four speakers work ✔️

Most all in one PC's, such as yours are basically a laptop PC with a "desktop" display (Monitor). The Beats audio is just a software enhancement (addition) to the basic audio chip. If HP designed the Beats to ONLY be used with internal speakers then you are sunk and you can't get the Beats audio enhancement on external speakers.

I asked you to try the external speakers connected to the headphone jack to see if you have it there. Did you try that?

For all the speakers to work, which is not normally the way PC audio systems work, your IDT audio configuration panel (if you have one) would have to have an option to allow all speakers to work when something is plugged into the headphone jack.

YES- I did try the headphone jack. It muted the Beats (PC audio sound) as I expected.
I will try to find this IDT configuration area and adjust some settings if I can..
